This week : Gustav Klimt

Gustav Klimt, Hope II, 1907-1908, Oil, gold and platinum on canvas, 110×110 cm, New-York, Museum of Modern Art

I like this work for the decorative abundance on the clothes.

I like this work because of the contrast between the very flat appearance of the fabrics and the rounded treatment of the body.

l ike the three women at the foot of the figure, who seem to be praying.

I like that the work is reminiscent of a Byzantine icon.

And you, what do you think about it ?
